Bread and Butter Pudding may sound a little boring but trust us, you will love it. Serve Bread and Butter Pudding absolutely piping hot with pouring cream or custard.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 5 slices White Bread
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3 tbl. Butter (Melted)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

How To Make

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 F.
  2. Take the raisins and let then soak in 1 cup of hot water for about 5 minutes.
  3. While the raisins soak, trim the crusts off the bread. Spread the butter over a single side of the bread and cut in half.
  4. Put the bread, buttered side up, into a greased baking dish and sprinkle generously with raisins.
  5. Heat the milk until steaming, remove from the heat and add the vanilla extract.
  6. Take a small bowl and beat the eggs while stirring in the milk mixture, then pour over the bread.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the top goes brown.
  8. Serve hot with a cup of Irish tea.
