Bread and Butter Pudding may sound a little boring but trust us, you will love it. Serve Bread and Butter Pudding absolutely piping hot with pouring cream or custard.
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Raisins
- 5 slices White Bread
- 2 large Eggs
- 3 tbl. Butter (Melted)
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

How To Make
- Preheat your oven to 350 F.
- Take the raisins and let then soak in 1 cup of hot water for about 5 minutes.
- While the raisins soak, trim the crusts off the bread. Spread the butter over a single side of the bread and cut in half.
- Put the bread, buttered side up, into a greased baking dish and sprinkle generously with raisins.
- Heat the milk until steaming, remove from the heat and add the vanilla extract.
- Take a small bowl and beat the eggs while stirring in the milk mixture, then pour over the bread.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the top goes brown.
- Serve hot with a cup of Irish tea.
