We absolutely love Ginger Cake Recipe! Simple as that! It's moist, light and just beautiful with a covering of butter. Tastes great toasted too.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Molasses
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Water (Boiled)
  • 1/2 tbl Ginger
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Pecan Nuts

How To Make

  1. Using a bowl, firstly melt the butter in the water.
  2. Then mix in the baking soda, spices, salt and flour until a dough.
  3. Roll out the dough into a flat sheet a couple of inches deep. Then cut out circles with a medium dough cutter.
  4. Top with a few pecan nuts on each circle. Sprinkle on some sugar, liberally.
  5. Place in a preheated oven at about 300 F until baked.
