This Cinnamon Cake Recipe is a real favourite around these parts - folk just love it! Great at any time of the year, the taste and aroma of Cinnamon Cake really lends itself to Christmas.
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/2 cup Demerera Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 tbl Butter
- 1 tbl Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 Large Egg
- Yeast

How To Make
- Taking a large bowl, mix the milk, sugar and yeast together thoroughly. Let it rise for about 40 minutes.
- Add the beaten egg, creamed sugar, salt and enough flour to knead into a dough.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and level out. Let it rise in a warm place for a couple of hours.
- Brush some beaten egg onto the top of the cake. Then generously sprinkle the top of the cake with cinnamon and sugar.
- Place in a preheated oven at about 350 F until baked.
- Serve up warm with plenty of butter and jam or a dollup of fresh cream!
