Rich, delicate and supremely luxurious can only start to describe the Chocolate Strawberry Cake recipe. Serve it up after a dinner party to the amazement of your guests. Be aware, this Chcocolate Cake will be gobbled up!
Recipe Ingredients
- 4 cups Strawberries (Fresh)
- 2 1/2 cups Whipping Cream
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Chocolate Chip Cookies (Crushed)
- 1/2 Water (Cooled)
- 3 tbl Butter (Melted)
- 2 tbl Corn Syrup
- 1 tbl Sugar

How To Make
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the chocolate chip crumbs and the butter.
- Take out of the bowl and roll flat, about 9 in wide. Then place the sliced strawberries side by side with the pointed ends up.
- Blend the chocolate chips.
- Using a small saucepan over a medium heat, add the corn syrup and water. Bring the mixture to the boil and let it simmer for a minute or two.
- Straight away, pour the mixture over the chocolate chips and combine thoroughly until a smooth consistency. Then let it cool to room temperature.
- Take another bowl and beat the 1/2 cups cups of whipping cream until slightly stiffened.
- Fold the cooled chocolate mixture into the whipped cream. Then stir well.
- Pour this over the top of the strawberries. Cover will cling film and let it refridgerate for a day.
- About an hour before serving, beat the remainder of the whipping cream until smooth and slightly stiff.
- Smooth the cream over the base of the cake and place the rest of the sliced strawberries over the top. Sprinkle with sugar or chocolate / cocoa dust for added taste effect.
