The Chocolate Chip Tea Cake Recipe will give you a lovely, heart-warming cake that will knock the socks off your guests! It's light and is really set off by the chocolate chips. Great with tea, coffee or hot cocoa.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 cup Soured Cream
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Small Chocolate Chips
- 6 tbl Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt

How To Make
- Take a large saucepan and place on a medium heat. Melt the butter. When melted, remove the pan.
- Stir in the salt, sour cream, egg, vanilla and salt. Add the baking soda and baking powder in small pinches.
- Add flour to the mix and stir in thoroughly. Now add the chocolate chips.
- Put the mix into a loaf pan and place in a preheated oven at 350 F for anything up to an hour, or until baked.
- Serve fresh from the oven and enjoy!
