There is nothing quite like a few slices of homemade Soda bread in a fry to get your day started. It's also great for toasting and tastes fabulous with marmalade, jam or cheddar cheese.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 cup of self raising flour
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 1 tbl baking soda
- 1/2 tbl salt, for seasoning

How To Make
- Get all the ingredients together and mix them thoroughly.
- Move the mixture onto a floured surface and kneed together for a few minutes, 4 or 5 should be more than enough.
- Kneed into a rough circle and cut into slices, just like a pizza.
- Put your slices onto a floured griddle, preheated to about 350 F, and let each side cook for about 5 minutes.
- Soda farls are perfect for a hearty breakfast! Serve as part of a traditional Irish breakfast.
