Banana Bread is tasty, healthy and low fat. This Banana Bread recipe is easy to make and takes very little time. Nothing smells quite as nice as freshly baked Banana Bread, so don't wait around and get cooking! You'll love it.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Bananas (Mashed)
  • 1/2 cup Shortening Liquid
  • 1/2 cup Assorted Nuts
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Large Eggs (Beaten)

How To Make

  1. Take a bowl and cream together the sugar and shortening liquid. Then add the eggs and mix thoroughly.
  2. Now add the mashed bananas and the lemon juice to the mixture.
  3. Sift in the flour and add the assorted nuts.
  4. Take the mixture out of the bowl and place on a rolling board. Knead for a few minutes until stiffened a little.
  5. Put in a lightly greased pan and sprinkle a few nuts over the top.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 F for about an hour, or until browned.
