This is a handy way to remove most caffeine from standard tea if that is all you can get your hands on! Caffeine is highly soluble in water and is one of the first parts of the leaf to be extracted when steeping. It is known that up to 80% of the tea leave's caffeine content will be removed in the first 20 - 30 seconds of steeping. If you let the tea steep for up to 30 or 40 seconds then drain off the hot water, and replace with a similar amount of fresh hot water you should not taste much difference at all. This means that you can still enjoy your favourite teas, only without the majority of it's natural caffeine. Related Products
